The contemporary living and dining rooms have sliding glass doors on two walls that maximize the dramatic harbor and lagoon views, and open to the private, lushly landscaped patio - one of the largest patios in the development. The wrap-around patio has been lovingly landscaped and provides the perfect outdoor space for entertainment and relaxation.

Porcelain tile flooring that resembles natural stone carries throughout the entire home adding to the expansive feeling of the interior. In the living room, a wood-burning fireplace has an elegant granite surround and hearth with a flatscreen TV above providing warmth to this inviting space.

The stunning, remodeled kitchen is open to the living and dining rooms and was thoughtfully designed to optimize space while adding contemporary European styling and innovative technology. The beautiful custom Italian lacquered cabinets, made by Pedini, reflect the water views and are complemented by stainless LG and Miele appliances, contemporary overhead lighting, and striking, black, iridescent granite countertops.

The large master bedroom suite features sliding glass doors that offers beautiful views of the water and open to the landscaped patio. The walk-in master closet is completely lined with cedar, and a linen closet provides additional storage. The divided bathroom includes a deep soaking tub with a hand-held shower and a rich, black granite tile surround with a framed tile mural of Italy.

The second roomy bedroom offers water views, sliding glass doors, patio access, plenty of closet space, and is conveniently situated across the hall from a full bathroom that includes a large, walk-in shower.

The laundry room is located along the hallway that leads to the attached one-car garage, which has finished walls and storage shelving. Guest parking is also available directly outside of this unit for easy access for guest visits.

Alameda was once a peninsula connected to the Oakland docks. In 1902, a canal was dredged to enable easier shipping access, and that turned Alameda into an island. A little off the beaten track, Alameda has a laid-back vibe all its own. Despite its 80,000 residents, there's still a small-town feeling in Alameda.

A 4th of July Parade, complete with horse-drawn carriages, embodies the small-town feel in Alameda, which has preserved much of its Victorian housing stock, cottages, and central, walkable shopping district along Park Street. The Alameda Theater on Park Street was restored to its art deco glory. Civic pride runs high here; formerly the Carnegie Library, the Alameda Free Library was transformed into a multimillion-dollar showplace that earned a Silver LEED certification. Kids play soccer on former parade grounds of the converted army barracks. Crown Memorial State Beach and Shoreline Drive attract wind surfers.

With more than 10,000 buildings constructed before 1930, there is a rich and varied architectural heritage in the area playing a role in Alameda's real estate market conditions. Historic Queen Anne's, more than 1,500 ornately decorated Victorians, and California Craftsmans are some of the most desirable homes here along its tree-lined streets.
